Virginia J. “Ginny” Hanes, age 87 of West Branch, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Virginia was born in West Branch, daughter of Charles and Pearl Wangler. She married Arthur E. Hanes on October 26, 1946 in West Branch. Virginia enjoyed playing Euchre Wednesday nights at Burger King. She owned Ginny’s Beauty Shop since 1972 and still enjoyed working.

Virginia is survived by husband, Arthur E. of West Branch, daughters, Connie (Walter) Trout of West Branch, Patty (Richard) Dack of West Branch, grandchildren, Rick (Raychelle) Trout, Tricia (Eric) Reed, Bobby (Heather) Dack, Jonathon Hanes, Stephanie Hanes, and great-grandchildren, Courtney, Alec, Dawson, and Tucker. Also surviving are sisters, Joan Thompson, Bernice Lacko both of West Branch, and brother, Dean Wangler of West Branch. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Hanes in 2008 and grandson, Chad Dack in 1997.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
